CTT Systems key sustainability issues

At CTT, sustainability is fully integrated into the company’s business model and long-term strategy. Through its core technology for active humidity control in aircraft, CTT contributes to a more sustainable aviation industry by improving working conditions for crew, enhancing passenger well-being, and reducing unnecessary weight from condensate water, leading to lower fuel consumption and reduced greenhouse gas emissions.

CTT’s sustainability work is based on a double materiality assessment (DMA), inspired by the requirements of the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). The assessment identifies the sustainability matters where CTT has the greatest impact on society and environment, as well as those most relevant to the company’s financial performance and long-term value creation. Based on the DMA, CTT’s most material sustainability matters are climate change, substances of very high concern, resource use and circular economy, own workforce, workers in the value chain and business conduct, which guide priorities, targets and key actions across the organization.

Environment

CTT works systematically to reduce its environmental and climate impact. To address its direct impact, the company uses 100% renewable electricity, 99% fossil‑free heating, invests in solar energy at its production facilities, and promotes sustainable travel. CTT also promotes increased circularity through efficient resource use, repairs, reuse and recycling, as well as by setting environmental requirements for suppliers and phasing out substances that may be harmful to human health and the environment.

In 2024, CTT joined the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and had its climate targets validated in line with the Paris Agreement’s 1.5‑degree ambition. CTT has committed to reducing its scope 1 and 2 emissions by 42% by 2030 and its scope 1–3 emissions by 90% by 2050, both from a 2023 base year. During 2025, CTT achieved its short‑term target thanks to an increased share of fossil‑free district heating.

Social

CTT is committed to providing equal, safe and healthy workplaces. Our employees have individual skills and development plans together with a generous profit-sharing foundation investing in CTT shares. CTT is certified as a Great Place to Work and strives to continuously improve the employees’ perception of CTT as a workplace.

Governance

As part of its commitment to sustainable and responsible business practices, CTT has embedded the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact into its strategies and operations, committing to respect human and labor rights, safeguard the environment, and work against corruption in all its forms. These principles are embedded in CTT’s Code of Conduct, which employees, suppliers and business partners must follow.
