Nyköping, June 13, 2012 – L-3 Platform Integration based in Waco, Texas, USA, has ordered a CTT Cair™ System to be installed on a Boeing VVIP 747-8 aircraft in 2013. L-3's VIP and Head-of-State Completion Center offers cabin outfitting and associated services.

This is the second Cair System order from L-3 for a 747-8 VVIP aircraft. CTT is very pleased and proud that L-3 selected the Cair system for this second VVIP 747-8 outfitting contract.

Cair™ is focused on passenger health and comfort by providing humidification of extremely dry aircraft cabins without causing condensation. Cair™ provides passengers with a pleasant relative humidity of around 20% in the cabin compared to 35% without, thereby reducing dry airrelated problems (e.g., fatigue, jet lag, red eyes, dry skin and spread of virus diseases).

The Cair™ system is based on evaporative cooling technology and uses a method that effectively precludes the transfer of bacteria within the aircraft. The dual-purpose system increases humidity for greater comfort and incorporates the Zonal Drying™ System to counter condensation problems.

CTT’s Zonal Drying™ System has been selected as basic equipment for the new 787 “Dreamliner,” and CTT’s humidifiers are options in crew rest compartments and on the flight deck. The A380 offers CTT’s humidifiers as an option in crew rest compartments. CTT will also supply the Zonal Drying™ system and the Cair™ system for the A350 aircraft as options.
