Air India adopts Humidifier Onboard A350-900s
As the first airline in Southeast Asia and the Middle East to adopt this technology, Air India is leading the way in prioritizing passenger well-being. The Humidifier Onboard maintains optimal cabin humidity levels, making long flights more pleasant and healthier. Air India has the innovative Humidifier Onboard technology in the Business Class of its brand-new A350-900 fleet. This makes Air India the first airline in these regions to offer Humidifier Onboard, setting a new standard in passenger experience and well-being.
"We congratulate Air India on taking delivery of its first A350-900 aircraft fitted with Humidifier Onboard. The system will transform the experience beyond comfort into true well-being by generating humidity at a healthier level."

The Humidifier Onboard boosts passenger comfort
At CTT Systems we are at the forefront of the inflight humidity technological advancement. The Humidifier Onboard is engineered to maintain a relative humidity (RH) level of 20-23%, a stark contrast to the dehydrating environment of standard Business Class, which typically has RH levels as low as 5-10%. This groundbreaking technology ensures that the cabin environment mimics ground-like humidity levels, drastically improving onboard comfort.
Air India upgrades the Business Class experience
The Airbus A350XWB, already equipped with state-of-the-art climate features such as a lower cabin altitude of 6.000 ft, reduced noise and vibrations, draft-free ventilation, fresher air, and multiple temperature zones, is further enhanced by the addition of the Humidifier Onboard. While the basic configuration of the A350 and Boeing 787 sees a passive increase in humidity of about 1-2% RH, it still falls short of the ideal. The optional Humidifier Onboard system, designed by CTT Systems in cooperation with Airbus for the A350XWB’s Business Class, addresses this gap effectively.
Air India's commitment to passengers well-being and comfort
This is more than just an upgrade; it’s a commitment to passenger well-being and comfort. As Air India leads the way with this innovative technology, it sets a new benchmark for the aviation industry, promising a future where air travel is synonymous with comfort and health.
